Download and install SFA
The official Android GUI is SFA. The documentation lists Android 5.0 as the minimum; each distribution channel can add requirements. Install from Google Play, F-Droid, or an SFA APK from official releases. Ordinary sing-box Android archives are the CLI core. For an APK, follow the phone’s install-source prompt for the browser or file manager you use.
Profiles and connection status
Prepare compatible JSON or a remote configuration URL. The images below show profile and dashboard views; follow the common profile instructions to add your configuration.
Select the saved profile, start it, and verify access. Group controls appear when the configuration includes Selector or URLTest; their absence alone is not an import error. See the FAQ for troubleshooting.
Android VPN permissions and per-app settings
When the profile uses TUN, SFA uses Android VpnService without root. Accept the first system connection request. Only one VPN service can be active per user or work profile, so starting another VPN can replace it.
SFA can select apps to proxy or bypass, overriding include_package/exclude_package. If only one app fails, check its list membership and routing before reinstalling. Use the stop control and check system VPN state when finished. If failure occurs only after switching to the background, check the phone’s background restrictions; that is not the explanation for every timeout.
